Diljit Dosanjh tells Pakistani fan: Borders made by politicians, Punjabis love all

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently touring the UK for his Dil-Luminati Tour. He recently performed in Manchester in front of a packed stadium, and videos from the concert are being circulated on the internet. One of the videos, where Diljit interacts with a fan from Pakistan, has particularly caught the attention of the internet. In the video, Diljit talks about transcending borders and loving all.
The viral video features Diljit giving a gift to his fan on stage and asking her where she is from. After she tells him that she is from Pakistan, the singer says that he doesn’t believe borders divide people. For him, borders between countries are just what politicians want, not the people of either country.
He speaks in Punjabi, which translates to, “For me, India and Pakistan are one. Borders are created by politicians, but Punjabis love everyone. People who know Punjabi, be it from any corner of the world, are all the same. Those who have come from India are welcome, and those who have come from Pakistan are also welcome.” The singer mentioned that he connects with people through music and not by nationality.
Diljit’s gesture wins the hearts of the crowd, who give him the loudest cheer.
Earlier, videos of Diljit introducing his mother and sister at his Manchester concert surfaced on the internet. It showed the singer bowing down in front of his mother and telling the crowd that she is his mother. He also informed people that his family had come to attend his concert.
After enthralling the audience abroad, Diljit Dosanjh will bring his Dil-Luminati Tour to India in October. He will be performing in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. The singer is scheduled to perform in Delhi on October 26 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
On the film front, Diljit will be sharing the screen with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in the patriotic drama, Border 2.
